The MSc Tourism Scheme (Top-Up) will enable students to undertake a 60-credit research dissertation through independent directed learning. Students will have the option to select from four distinct routes: Tourism and Hospitality, Tourism and Events, Tourism and Aviation, or Sustainable Tourism. Research topics may include airline management, event planning strategies, hospitality trends, and developing sustainable approaches to tourism development.
This master's course stands out due to its exclusive focus on the research dissertation, which enables critical thinking and allows for industry relevant contributions. Through this applied research approach, students will enhance their analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling them to provide meaningful insights in the fields of tourism, hospitality, events, aviation, and/or sustainable tourism.
Teaching and learning methods include online tutorials and one-to-one supervision. Assessment is conducted through a dissertation module, during which you will work under the guidance of an academic supervisor.

This course is designed to support career acceleration for suitable graduate applicants. All levels of practical/work experience will be considered including applications from graduates with limited/no work experience post their postgraduate certificate or diploma who can display they will benefit from a course of this type.
A relevant postgraduate or equivalent professional qualification is a requirement to apply for this course.
