Fees

Here is an example estimated cost for a Study Abroad experience, to help you plan your finances.

For institutions co-designing a bespoke study abroad programme, fees will vary according to the final programme content. 

The University recommends that all students studying abroad with us take out a relevant travel insurance policy. Insurance fees will vary by student and coverage level. For ISEP students, please refer to your agreement regarding insurance and necessary coverage.

Students studying for only one semester may not be able to open a UK bank account. Please ensure that you have access to your funds upon your arrival. 

*Please note, if you are an exchange or Erasmus student the cost of tuition fees is covered in your agreement.

Accommodation

During your time studying abroad at the University of Sunderland, you will stay in one of the university’s halls of residence. Your halls will be a short walk from both the City Campus and Sir Tom Cowie Campus at St Peter’s.

Your bathroom and fully-equipped kitchen facilities will be shared but each room comes equipped with a wash basin. Laundry facilities are also onsite for your use.
