This one-day masterclass will provide participants with an understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and behaviours that are necessary to respond to a patient safety incident using a systems-based learning response (eg after-action reviews, debriefing). This will include discussion around improvement planning and monitoring.
The Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF) takes a very different approach to what has gone before in terms of how organisations approach and learn from patient safety incidents, allowing organisations to examine incidents openly without fear of inappropriate sanction, and supporting those affected alongside improving services.
This one-day masterclass will take place on campus at the University of Sunderland between 9am – 4pm with an hour for breaks.
We don’t currently display entry requirements for United States. Please contact the Student Admin team on studentadmin@sunderland.ac.uk or 0191 515 3154.
This masterclass is aimed at matrons, governance leads, managers, and those working in/leading a multidisciplinary team (NHS and Independent) who are expected to facilitate systems-based learning responses.
The fee for this course is £145.
