Overview
There is an increasing need for innovation and transformation in service design to improve quality and safety in the NHS. Subsequently, this gives rise to sustainable service improvements that can be disseminated across healthcare providers.
This course will support you in developing your leadership knowledge and capabilities, as well as developing knowledge and skills in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety, enabling you to address contemporary challenges within the NHS. You are expected to evaluate your organisation and clinical practice to ensure they have the right skills and resources to implement successful improvements and maintain patient safety. You'll identify local priorities for quality improvements that will make a difference to our local healthcare systems and learn how to engage with frontline staff, businesses, and academia helping to stimulate innovation and improvement.
You can study the full Postgraduate Certificate in Patient Safety and Quality Improvement, or study module one, Developing Leadership and Action in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety, or module two, Evidencing Capability and Competence in Continuously Improving Care, separately as a short course.
