This short course is designed for registered and non-registered clinicians who have studied at level 5 and above, who want to upskill their knowledge of caring for patients with learning disabilities.
This 16-week course covers diverse training for delivering effective and equitable patient care. It will enhance the skills of nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and others.

The sessions will run every two weeks. It will be a mixture of face-to-face sessions, self-directed study via our canvas portal, and some online sessions. The sessions will run on Wednesdays 9:30am to 4pm on the following dates:

We require applicants to be at a Band 5 or above for both Level 6 and Level 7.
The employer usually meets these costs – we advise you to speak to your workforce development lead before applying.
