If you don’t have the necessary qualifications for direct entry to a University of Sunderland degree, you can take one of the pathway programmes at OnCampus Sunderland. These will enable you to progress to your chosen course at the University on successful completion.
OnCampus Sunderland courses are taught on-campus at the University of Sunderland so you will be living and studying in Sunderland. All courses are a mixture of academic content and English language skills.
If you successfully complete your OnCampus programme, you are guaranteed a place on a relevant University of Sunderland degree programme.
Pathway Programmes Available
OnCampus offers three pathway programmes, and the one that’s right for you depends on your previous academic achievements, your English language and your intended progression degree.
Undergraduate Foundation Programme
This route is offered across three pathways which are:
- Business
- Engineering
- Life Sciences, although progression options include many humanities-related degrees

After successfully completing your pathway programme, you can move straight on to your chosen undergraduate or master’s degree course at Sunderland as long as you’ve met all the progression criteria required.
