Mentoring and Coaching (DL) is a Level 7 course for teachers and educators, delivered via distance learning. You'll explore the principles, concepts, theories, and models relating to the development of coaching, guidance, and mentoring skills, and evaluate the impact these might have on teaching and learning.
This coaching and mentoring course will be particularly beneficial if you are currently mentoring a trainee teacher and wish to develop theoretical knowledge.
Developing supportive relationships, both personal and professional, and an awareness of the potential of all learners, is an important element of the course.
Our Mentoring and Coaching course is taught via tutor and group-led discussion sessions, case studies, self/peer reflection, evaluation of visual or audio recordings, research, and self-directed study. Assessment methods include written commentary and transcript, and a written report.
