Access to world-class resources
The Library provides the recommended reading and professional information that will inform your study and practice. We make significant investments in the highest quality, professions-facing resources used by universities today. Your reading will be delivered to you through personalised reading lists. The majority of your reading is delivered online, ensuring that it is available and accessible to you at all times.
In the Big Talk to the Library student survey 2023, students rated Reading Resources as the number one service that they liked best about the Library followed closely by Support and Study Skills.
Expert support with study and digital skills
To enable the learning on your course the Library will develop your higher-level study and digital skills. These skills will prepare you to get up to speed with university life, feel confident in your studies, and continue to achieve. You can make the most of these opportunities in a variety of ways including flexible drop-ins and personalised sessions.
You’ll also benefit from our brand-new Digital US digital skills programme. With you at the heart, the Library works in partnership with services such as Disability Support to make sure we deliver the best support experience for you.
Campus library spaces
Our Library spaces are one of the most visited university spaces on campus. They are designed in partnership with our students to ensure that they are the vibrant study hubs you would expect. We have four Library spaces offering extensive opening hours including evenings, weekends, and vacations.
Our libraries offer a range of flexible environments including bookable study rooms. You’ll also find PCs, printers, and over 300 student laptops located around campus, which are available for you to borrow.
An exciting project to extend and enhance St Peter’s Library at the Sir Tom Cowie Campus at St Peter’s will begin in 2024.
