Welcome to Your SU, a place run by students for students!

Sunderland Students' Union is a student-led organisation here to give you and all students a chance to get the best out of your time at university. We can support you in a number of ways throughout your time with us.

Fun, memories, and lots of freebies! We have tonnes of opportunities you can get involved in and events you can attend with your friends, or come along and make some new ones! We can help you to improve your skills, boost your CV, and are here to represent your voice through your student experience.

If you ever face any difficulties, we will be able to signpost you to find the right support for your needs.

Joining a society at Your SU is a brilliant way to meet like-minded students, make friends and find your community at university, all while having a fantastic time – and maybe even trying something new.

We have over 50+ student-led societies covering everything from cultural groups, to LGBTQI+ and even movies and hedgehogs!

Time to socialise

We host a range of events and activities throughout the year. Whether that be on campus, in the city and beyond! Join us on one of our famous day trips or come to celebrate a cultural day with free food like India Day. It's a great way to socialise and meet other students!
