During her internship at Hilton Garden Inn Austin North, Texas, Kelly Clarkson learned all the aspects of working within a well-known brand and was also chosen to be one of the faces of the Hilton Garden Inn brand and now her picture is visible worldwide on the Hilton Garden Inn website, guest surveys and brochures. Kelly will be returning to Texas to participate in a graduate internship for a year and then come back to do an MA in Tourism and Hospitality.

I chose to study at the University of Sunderland as it was relatively close to my home town as well as being highly regarded as being one of the best universities to study Tourism, a subject I thoroughly enjoy with a passion.

I love everything on the course and in the Tourism field within the University. There are so many life-changing opportunities available such as participating in a year-long placement in a place you could only ever dream of. You have the chance to participate in field trips in places in the UK as well as around the world such as Prague, Krakow, New York and even Hong Kong.

I would highly recommend the University of Sunderland to other students! Not only does the University have a well-known reputation for the Tourism department but the amount of support available throughout the University is amazing from the lecturers to Financial Advisors to the on-site counsellors.

Definitely have Sunderland as one of your top choices even if you are unsure, there are so many opportunities waiting! Always be open to trying new things and don’t let opportunities that can be life-changing go so easily."
