BSc (Hons) Physiological Sciences

Samuel Ndaa has always been interested in the medical and scientific fields so he knew in order for him to gain greater opportunities in exploring them, the University was the right way to go. As a result of studying BSc (Hons) Physiological Sciences, Samuel secured a graduate job in the Freeman Hospital.

I had various choices of courses for other universities, but the subject of Physiology appealed much more to me and the location of Sunderland, relative to where I live, let me be independent during my time of study while still allowing me easy travel back home.

The best aspects of the course was the opportunity to discover more outside of your subject through the different assignments given. My course also exposed me to different scientific disciplines through Biomedical science, such as Immunology, which I took a particular interest in.

Everyone is at the same level when going to university, no-one knows more than the other. What sets people apart is the time through the course. The time you decide to apply to the course itself and how you decide to manage your work-life balance.

It’s challenging studying at the University of Sunderland, and to dedicate your time to study for three years is a sacrifice, but it’s one that is definitely worth it and makes all the difference for your future. I would recommend prospective students to consider studying in Sunderland."
