The University of Sunderland has launched an event to support employers interested in recruiting international students from the region’s universities.
The free online event, ‘Unlocking the Potential of Global Talent’, takes place on Monday 30 September from 2pm-3:30pm, and is open to all employers working within the north-east of England. Employers can register for the event free of charge via Eventbrite.
‘Unlocking the Potential of Global Talent’ will highlight the benefits of recruiting international students from the region’s universities. Employers will discover how international talent can bring fresh perspectives and drive innovation within their organisation.
The event will feature a panel of regional employers who will share their experiences of integrating international students into their teams. Immigration experts Paragon Law will explain all you need to know about the Graduate and Skilled Worker visa routes
Helen Atkinson, Career Development & Academic Support Manager from the University of Sunderland’s Centre for Graduate Prospects said: “With thousands of talented international students across our region, north-east-based employers have access to a significant talent pool right on their doorstep.
“This event aims to highlight the benefits of recruiting international students by offering first-hand insights from regional employers who have done just that. By working collaboratively with partners from Durham, Newcastle, Northumbria and Teesside universities, our goal is to ensure that the north-east benefits fully from our inspiring international students and graduates.”
The Centre for Graduate Prospects works in partnership to develop employability and enterprise across the University of Sunderland, supporting our students to discover, ignite and showcase their spark to succeed.
