Professor John Murray, Academic Dean of the Faculty of Technology, has been invited as a keynote speaker to the 2024 World Congress in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Applied Computing (CSCE'24).

The CSCE will take place in Las Vegas, USA, from 22 to 25 July, and as one of the top five largest annual gatherings in its field, the conference will attract attendees from approximately 75 countries and territories.

Professor Murray's keynote lecture, titled "The Effect of Tech Savviness on the Design and Interaction of AI Systems: An Exploration of Trust," will delve into how individuals' self-perceived tech savviness influences their use of AI technologies.

Professor Murray will be presenting alongside distinguished colleagues, including Prof. Dr. Diego Galar from Luleå University of Technology, Sweden, and Professor Leon Deligiannidis, PhD, Interim Dean and Professor at the School of Computing and Data Science, Wentworth Institute of Technology, Massachusetts, USA.

The CSCE aims to provide a unique platform for a diverse group of scholars, researchers, and practitioners from around the world, promoting connections between institutions focused on teaching and research. Last year’s event drew speakers and participants from over 158 universities, major IT and other corporations, government research agencies, and national laboratories.
