University of Sunderland students are being encouraged to register so that they can vote in this December's general election.
At the University, staff are guiding students through the process to make sure they are ready to tick their box come December 12.
This week scores registered to vote at the St Peter's Campus.
Students who are eligible to vote may register at both their home and university addresses, although they can’t vote in the same election twice.
Registration requires each new person to supply their date of birth and National Insurance Number to verify their identity.

Tuesday, November 26 is the deadline to register to vote in the December 12 general election.
