The University of Sunderland is not just life-changing for students here in the UK as nearly 200 students at our partner universities in Vietnam are now celebrating their graduations.

Around 40 students recently graduated at Ho Chi Min City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE), while nearly 150 students at the Banking Academy Vietnam (BAV) celebrated their graduations.

The University of Sunderland has been in partnership with HCMUTE and BAV for more than a decade and were the first Higher Education Institute in the UK to partnership in Vietnam under a franchise arrangement.

Ian Moody, Deputy Director of International at the University of Sunderland, who officiated at the graduations, said: “It was a great honour to see so many of our fantastic students graduating in Vietnam and embark on the next stage of their life changing path to success.

“Both HCMUTE and BAV are two great examples of partnerships that allows the UK to export a much sought-after educational experience and I’m pleased we are making such a positive impact all round the world.”
