The University of Sunderland's CitySpace on City Campus was alive with sights, sounds and colours - as staff and students came together to celebrate India Day. 

 

The event took place last Friday (November 12th) and included traditional Indian dancing, henna tattooing and snacks, as well as board games, Quick Cricket, big screen TV shows and Diwali Light painting.                                                

                                                 

There were also speeches from Consul General of India Dr Shashank Vikram, University of Sunderland's Pro Vice-Chancellor for International Professor John Macintyre, University of Sunderland Students' Union (SU) President Chris Davison and SU International Officer Georgios Vasilakis.
