Superstars from the University of Sunderland were celebrated during the annual Sunderland Professional Awards (SuPA) ceremony.
The three-tiered award offers a range of opportunities which help University students become ‘work ready’ by building a portfolio of activity and achievement designed to enhance their CV and add to their qualifications.
This year’s SuPA achievers were invited to the Fire Station venue in the city centre for the event.
During the awards University Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive Sir David Bell said: “These awards celebrate the determination that our students have shown in demonstrating and developing key qualities which will be crucial as you prepare to embark on the next phase of your education or into a new career.
“There is no doubt in my mind that attaining a SuPA award will enhance future employment prospects.
“University life is so much more than just your chosen degree and therefore it is important that, here at the University, there are many extra opportunities for students to develop their skills beyond their degree studies.
“I am also pleased that volunteering continues to play such a significant part in student life.”
