While we have a 'Skip to content' link on every page when new users access the website they will receive our cookie consent banner at the bottom of the page. This cannot be skipped over as it is important to get consent for cookies to comply with the General Data Protection Regulations.

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

Accessibility is now embedded into the Human Resources content team training that is available to all academic staff who create content for the platform.

Preparation of this accessibility statement

This statement was prepared on 1 August 2024. It was last reviewed on 29 August 2024.

This website was last tested on 1 August 2024. The test was carried out by The University of Sunderland Web Team and Stonefish Software.

This website is tested weekly using a quality assurance tool to identify accessibility issues.

Our website is tested on a regular basis, with a new scan scheduled every seven days using automated accessibility tools provided by LittleForest, AXE, and Wave. Manual checks are also performed on a sample of pages on jobs.sunderland.ac.uk.

Issues are prioritised according to the severity of the impact they may cause, the number of people that may be impacted, and the time involved in resolving the issue.
