Lecturer in Primary Education
Teaching and supervision
I have 13 years of teaching experience across Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 and have taught in both the private and public sector. In my previous school, I was subject lead for literacy and was also part of the school’s management team.
Throughout my career, I have mentored many trainee teachers and ECTs from a range of training providers which I have thoroughly enjoyed, and I am excited to develop this further by supporting students at the University of Sunderland. I have a wealth of experience and skills to support and develop trainee teachers, from planning and self-reflection to behaviour management skills and practical ideas in the classroom.
I undertake teaching, marking, and support students with their school experience modules and work across various courses including BA (Hons) Primary Education with QTS, BA (Hons) Primary and SEND Education with QTS, PGCE Primary Education QTS, and PGCE Schools Direct.
