Faculty Academic Support Lead (School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences)

I am the Faculty Academic Support Lead (FASL) for the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.

I qualified as a Pharmacist in 2002, having graduated from RGU (Aberdeen) in 2001. I worked primarily in the community pharmacy and primary care sectors before joining the University in 2012 in the role of Teacher Practitioner for Well Pharmacy. In 2015 I took on the role of Admissions Tutor and Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice for MPharm, a role which I carried out until September 2023 when I became the FASL for the School.

Teaching and supervision

Although I no longer teach full-time in my current role, I still like to get involved with teaching Pharmacy Practice, concentrating on my favourite areas of Law and Ethics and simulated pharmacy sessions both on MPharm and Pharmaceutical Sciences for the Overseas Pharmacist Assessment Programme.

Research interests for potential research students
