Deputy Programme Lead
I qualified as a nurse in 1992 working initially in a hospital setting and then in a community setting as part of a District Nursing team. I qualified as a Health Visitor in 1998 and worked across Sunderland supporting families with young children.
I became a Practice Placement Facilitator in 2006 enhancing the educational quality of practice placements and then moved into education at Northumbria University in 2011, working in post-registration programmes.
I joined the pre-registration Adult Nursing Team at Sunderland in 2018 as Senior Lecturer and Clinical Link Tutor and my current role is Deputy Programme Lead for BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing Practice.
