Senior Lecturer/AESiP and Learning and Teaching Fellow (Mental Health Charter)
I joined the University in 2020 as part of the Registered Degree Nurse Apprenticeship programme and felt at home right away in the institution. I've been a qualified nurse for nearly 20 years, working in a variety of fields including chronic conditions and within prison services but with a special interest in cancer. In education I've had the privilege to work on a variety of regional and national education initiatives for universities, charities and national organisations, delivering learning from undergraduate to postgraduate as well as to experts and novices. I really care about teaching the right people in the right way to help them achieve their potential. I’m a skilled communicator, get a kick out of finishing a task and am creative and brave in my thinking. I love my family, my faith and the wizarding world of Harry Potter. I'm passionate about developing the learning experience of the student while they study in the institution.
