Suzanne Duncan

A college leader since 2012, Suzanne is currently Principal and Chief Executive Officer of East Durham College. Suzanne also has served as an Ofsted inspector with 20 years of experience.

East Durham College is the biggest provider of land-based skills training and education in the region, delivered from its campus on the outskirts of Durham City, and a significant provider of general further education provision at two sites in the east of the county. The college serves around 4,000 students annually.

Suzanne chairs the Association of College’s World Skills UK special interest group and is a current board member of the Association of Colleges, representing the views of land-based colleges. She is Vice-Chair of the national land-based college network, Landex.

Suzanne also serves as a trustee of two of the biggest multi-academy trusts operating in the north of England; Northern Education Trust and North-East Learning Trust. In addition, Suzanne is a board member of the national charity NACUE, the National Association of College and University Entrepreneurs, and also sits on the board of Visit County Durham and East Durham Business Service.
