Martin Brookes

Martin is the incoming Chief Executive of VONNE (Voluntary Organisations’ Network North East). 

He is an economist by background and worked at the Bank of England and Goldman Sachs. He has spent the past 20 years working in charities, including building New Philanthropy Capital and London Plus, as well as co-founding Pro Bono Economics, and advising many others on strategy and funding. Martin is Chair of FareShare North East, the largest charity in the region distributing surplus food to over 200 community groups. 

Martin joined the Board in December 2023.
