Excellence Scholarship 2013/14

£2,000 tuition fee reduction (worth up to £8,000)

The Sunderland Excellence Scholarship recognises academic excellence. Your tuition fees will be automatically reduced by £2,000 in every year of your course.

Over a three-year course this scholarship would be worth £6,000, and over a four-year course it would be worth £8,000.

 

Who's eligible?

To be eligible for this scholarship you must achieve ABB at A Level or equivalent, excluding General Studies. For a full list of acceptable grades and qualifications please download the Scholarships Guidance Notes 2013 (.pdf).

This scholarship is available for all new 'home' and EU students joining the University of Sunderland in 2013 who achieve the required grades. 'Home' students are those who have been ordinarily resident in the UK for 3 years prior to the start of their course.

Students applying for some Foundation degrees at partner colleges may also be eligible for this scholarship. Please see the full list of eligible partner college programmes for more information.

The £2,000 tuition fee reduction applies to each year of continuous full-time study.

How to apply

Everyone who meets the eligibility criteria will automatically receive this scholarship - you do not have to apply for it.

If you are eligible, you will receive the scholarship in early 2014. This is because the University of Sunderland receives notifications from the funding body HEFCE in January 2014.
